Memorial Quilt Exhibition

Upper Waiting Hall of Parliament

10 – 16 October 2025

Twenty Speak Their Name Quilts, from 10 UK locations and online, were brought together for the first time in Parliament

The lovingly created Squares, representing c.800 individuals, were sewn, stitched and crafted by families and friends to express the character and personalities of loved ones who took their own lives.

Collectively, they highlight the enormous loss and sorrow of people bereaved by suicide.

More than 65 MPs spoke with the STN Team at the Exhibition, including Caroline Nokes MP, Deputy Speaker…

Wes Streeting MP, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care…

…and Karin Smyth MP, Minister of State, Dept. of Health and Social Care. The event was sponsored by Liz Twist MP, Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for the Prevention of Suicide and Self-harm.

The infinite variety of the Squares displayed is breathtaking… and heartbreaking.
