We’re committed to making a difference to families and friends who are bereaved by suicide. Most of our team, and virtually all of our members, have lived experience of suicide bereavement. With more than 7,000 people taking their own life every year in the UK, we are continually building new networks to support traumatised homes and friends’ groups that are suddenly, and unexpectedly, facing the agony of bereavement.
We entirely depend on voluntary donations and the generosity of strangers to maintain this site and fund our work. By helping us support the bereaved and amplify their voices, you are directly contributing to suicide prevention across the UK… and helping Speak Their Name bring about much needed change.

Secure online donations
One of the easiest ways to make one-off or regular donations to Speak Their Name is through our secure online portal. With your debit or credit card to hand, you can find that page here.
If you would like to talk through these options or need support to make a regular donation, please call our Support Team on 0300 772 7131 – our phone lines are open Monday to Friday from 8:30am-6:00pm. You can also email donations@speaktheirname.org with your query and your contact details, and we will respond.
Donate by phone
If you’re having difficulty donating online or do not feel comfortable doing so, we can take credit and debit card payments securely over the phone. We can also provide our Bank details if you would like to make a payment directly to our account.

Post a donation
You can send a cheque to our Charity Trustees at Speak Their Name CIO, 33-35 Mill Hey, Haworth, KEIGHLEY, West Yorkshire, BD22 8PD. Please make cheques payable to ‘Speak Their Name CIO’.
We will appreciate a short note telling us a little about why our work is important to you, and letting us know if you have created a page in memory of a loved one. Please also then include an address… so that we can express our thanks.
Gift in will
All of our team and our members know that every death by suicide leaves a shattering and lasting impact. A gift in your Will also creates real impact – a positive, enduring and much valued legacy that helps us support families who are coping with the shock of suicide bereavement.
Selecting beneficiaries in your Will must be a carefully considered decision; we acknowledge that family and friends rightly come first. On behalf of those that we hope to help, we thank you for thinking about also leaving a gift to Speak Their Name. Should you do so, our promise is that your gift will make a tangible difference to people who are often experiencing unimaginable grief.
You may choose to leave a gift in specific memory of a loved one. In this case, please let us (and perhaps also your family or solicitor) know so that we can recognise this when the gift is made. Alternatively, if you decide to give anonymously, we will always respect your privacy.
